Robotics matches the new digital technologies curriculum. There is considerable anecdotal evidence that students respond well in subjects involving programming of robots. Our children find it so fun. Evidently, this has become the most engaging way of introducing IT in our curriculum, particularly Programming. Yes, it can be too abstract yet students learn what robots can and can’t do and they become aware in the need for precise instructions. Their experiences in trying to build and program robots give them appreciation of their capabilities and strengths and at the same time give them the sense of real satisfaction once they get the robots working.
