International Student Convention

With a theme “A World of Tomorrow: Seeking Inspiration and Equilibrium In A New Age”, Beaconhouse School System had its second International Student Convention (BISC) in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia from January 18-20, 2017. Students from five countries: Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines and Thailand participated in the sports and co-curricular competitions. The Philippine delegation composed of 44 selected students and teachers from Angels In Heaven, St. Paul Learning Center (Cebu) and Theresiana de Montealegre Dame (Alabang)

Various sports events were the main focus on the first day such as basketball, futsal, swimming, badminton and track and field which were played at the grand Panasonic Sports Complex (Matsushita Stadium). On the second day at Sri Inai International School, selected students were engaged in the co-curricular competition categories like art installations, science project, photography, quiz bee (Bronze) and Beaconhouse Idol (Gold). B-Talks and the dance fusion for the cultural performance, though not part of the competition, was well-applauded and appreciated by the audience. 15 student participants demonstrated power and strength in the tough competition and earned medals in their respective categories:

Basketball Boys – Silver Medals : Vhincent Bonifacio, Juan Carlos Gatdula, Nikko Dela Cruz

Basketball Girls – Bronze Medals : Jerstein Limsiaco, Bea Magalang , Kyla Naguit, Cristina Vilela
